(in Russian — here)
Fahraddin Aboszoda (F. Abbasov oglu) — is an outstanding humanist, scientist, philosopher, public figure, fighter for the legitimate rights of Talysh people — the indigenous, autochthonous people in the South Caucasus. F. Aboszoda has consistently opposed the racist policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for years, which does not recognize the Talysh’s national identity in violation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples from 2007 (in that number Article 3: «Indigenous peoples have the right to self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development»).
F. Aboszoda is the author of a number of books, including first dictionary and textbook of Talysh grammar, hundreds of articles, interviews, speeches.
Chronology
Since 2008, F. Aboszoda lived in Russia, having an official residence permit, refused the citizenship of Azerbaijan.
On July 14, 2018, by a resolution of the Sabail District Court of Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, in absentia measure in the form of arrest was elected for F. Aboszoda, and the Central Investigation Department of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan sent an extradition request to the Russian Federation.
On September 6, 2018, F. Aboszoda voluntarily came to the territorial division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Lyubertsy District of the Moscow Region, but was immediately arrested.
On February 27, 2019, an unjustified and erroneous decision of the Lyubertsy City Court of the Moscow Region was made about the voluntary expulsion of F. Aboszoda (later in April this wrong decision was canceled by the Moscow Regional Court).
On the same day, on February 27, 2019, with numerous violations of the law, F. Aboszoda was forcibly by the use of brute physical force given to the arriving officers of the Azerbaijani special services who forcibly brought him from the Russian Federation to the Special security service prison in Baku. In fact, it was a man stealing.
According to contrived, incriminated corpus delicti under articles 281 “Public appeals directed against the state”, 283.1 “Incitement of national, racial, social or religious hatred and enmity” of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the 62-year-old scientist F. Aboszoda faces life imprisonment.
It is necessary to effectively inform the world community, human rights structures, the media to protect the life and honor of Fahraddin Aboszoda from the racist machine of Azerbaijan. Call «Freedom to Aboszoda!» — should be echoed around the world.
