Today, May 20, 2020 the Azerbaijani media disseminated an appeal allegedly made by “the leaders of Azerbaijani public organizations of the Russian Federation and representatives of the large Azerbaijani community of the country to the leadership of the Russian Federation, the government and parliament of the country, government agencies, relevant ministries and departments, as well as to the representations of international organizations in Russia” regarding the upcoming jn May 21 inauguration of the newly elected President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic).
This Azerbaijani appeal calls «to intervene in this issue in order to prevent the» inauguration «of the illegal» president «of the separatist regime and against the support of this criminal act by Armenia.»
No specific organizations and names of authors of the appeal are given, which testifies to its creation in the bowels of the Baku propaganda structures.
The provocative Azerbaijani “appeal” made during the period of large-scale military exercises in Azerbaijan near the borders of Artsakh and Armenia, in an atmosphere of anti-Armenian hysteria, fueled by the leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan led by its president Ilham Aliyev, indicates the likely military provocation planned by the Baku regime on May 21 , and subsequent military aggression against Artsakh and Armenia.
The lies and propaganda tricks peculiar to the Azerbaijani regime cannot disguise the main thing: its desire to destroy the people of Artsakh, who got rid of the tyranny of genocidal Azerbaijan a quarter century ago, and to launch aggression against the Republic of Armenia, the whole territory of which Baku openly and officially «considers its», with de facto support of Ankara.
We bring to the attention of the leadership of the Russian Federation and the Russian public that if aggression against Artsakh is unleashed, all the blame for its consequences, including for the Azerbaijani people, will fall on the criminal regime of Azerbaijan.
