General Khristophor Ivanyan is still with us

(in Russian — here) August 30, 2019 marks 20 years since stopped beating the big Heart of Lieutenant General, Hero of Artsakh, citizen of St. Petersburg (Russia) Khristophor Ivanovich Ivanyan (December 20, 1920, Tbilisi — August 30, 1999, St. Petersburg). He rests at the Armenian cemetery in St. Petersburg. Khristofor Ivanyan all 5 years participated in the Great Patriotic War. In 1943-1944 he was the chief of artillery of the 318th Rifle Division, the 128th Guards Rifle Division of the Ukrainian Front (with battles he reached Czechoslovakia).

Memorial plaque to legendary Armenian Aram Oganov in St. Petersburg

On October 9, 2018, a memorial plaque to Armenian Aram Mikhailovich Oganov was installed in the center of St. Petersburg, Russia. Aram Oganov (10/09/1925 — 09/26/2008) — was one of the founders of passenger navigation in the USSR, sea captain, Ph.D., Hero of Socialist Labor.
