August 30, 2019 marks 20 years since stopped beating the big Heart of Lieutenant General, Hero of Artsakh, citizen of St. Petersburg (Russia) Khristophor Ivanovich Ivanyan (December 20, 1920, Tbilisi — August 30, 1999, St. Petersburg). He rests at the Armenian cemetery in St. Petersburg. Khristofor Ivanyan all 5 years participated in the Great Patriotic War. In 1943-1944 he was the chief of artillery of the 318th Rifle Division, the 128th Guards Rifle Division of the Ukrainian Front (with battles he reached Czechoslovakia).
The action participated:
— Armenian Armed Forces officers: Colonels Arthur Torosyan and Arthur Hayrapetyan, Lieutenant Colonels Ararat Kurekhyan and Melik Melikyan,
— members of the local Armenian community: Khoren Sahakyan, Ashot Nersisyan, Larisa Matevosyan, Margarita Ter-Poghosyan, Masis Babakhani, Eduard Khanzadyan, Narek Sahakyan, Vahan Babakhanyan and others.
They laid flowers on the grave, lit an incense, commemorated the general.

After the action, a number of participants, together with Murad Sargsyan and Vardan Davtyan, continued at the feast the memorial event of Christopher Ivanovich and the Day of statehood of the Artsakh Republic.
The grave of General Ivanyan became a symbolic Yerablur in St. Petersburg. People come here to mark the memorial days of various outstanding fighters who gave their lives for the Homeland.
So, on April 2, 2018, there was an action in memory of heroes (photos and videos), repeled the treacherous aggression of Azerbaijan in April 2016.
On January 28, 2017, on the 25th anniversary of the Army Day of the Republic of Armenia, officers and cadets, together with members of the Armenian community, visited the graves of Kh. Ivanian and other military figures at the Armenian cemetery.

On June 18, 2017, was held an action in memory of Monte Melkonyan (Nov 25, 1957, Visalia, CA, USA — June 12, 1993, Marzili, Artsakh).
November 27, 2016 a grave of Ivanyan was again with the flowers — on birthday of Monte.
