The Coordinating Council of Russian-Armenian organizations (CC RAO), which has been functioning since 2013, has addressed the President of the Russian Federation V. Putin with a letter in connection with the meeting of the leaders of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia scheduled for January 11, 2021 in Moscow.
Concerned about the consequences for the Armenian side of the treacherous armed aggression against the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) of the united Azerbaijani-Turkish forces, CC RAO also points to the ongoing expansion and approach of the dangerous policy of radical pan-Turkism and terrorism to the Russian borders.
This policy, aggression and crimes alone and heroically opposed Nagorno-Karabakh in an unequal war, and it opposed to a dozen large states. Throughout the war, large quantities of weapons for Azerbaijan came daily from Israel, Turkey, Pakistan, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Georgia, Ukraine and other countries. Turkish special forces, trained on the territory of a member of the CSTO, Kazakhstan, from there were sent directly to Karabakh. More than 4,000 mercenaries jihadists from Syria, Libya, Pakistan and Afghanistan also took an active part in this aggression.
In its Address, CC RAO calls on the President of the Russian Federation to use all his enormous authority to strengthen Russia’s mediating role in a just settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
For their part, the Armenian communities and associations operating in almost all regions of Russia have been and continue to remain the main consolidating forces of the two fraternal and allied countries.
