To Armenians
We speak 100+2 years about Armenian Genocide in Turkey (AGT).
However we dismiss and ingore another Large Catastrophe — an Armenian Genocide in Azerbaijan (AGA).
We use to name AGA as «pogroms» but it is a mistake — it was a pure genocide:
— hundreds Armenians were murdered
— more than a half million Armenians were forced to run away from their land, homes
— all Armenian heritage in Azerbaijan, including cemeteries, monuments, etc. was destroyed…
The main points are that:
— Azeris and Turks are almost the same nation
— both Turkey and Azerbaijan were created on blood and from the day one had a major ideology of pan-Turkism in different forms
— both had and continue to practice a racist genocidal policy against Armenians and other native nations who after forced assimilation became the minorities
— it is very important to address and talk not only about a genocide but also about a genocidal policy, because first is an inevitable consequence of the last one
— an anti-Armenian genocidal policy in Azerbaijan was from 1918 till today, but the bloody phases (genocidal acts) were in 1918-1920 and in 1988-92…
Shortly — AGT and AGA was a unite process. The joint anti-Armenian genocidal policy in both states continues.
We can’t fight for the truth of what hapenned a century ago and at the same time to betray a recent truth.
Unfortunately during three decades
— Armenian refugees failed to create a strong organization worldwide
— Armenian authorities never acknowledged AGA (just allowing the journalists to write some articles from time to time)
— Armenian public figures who wrote about AGA naming it by real name never unite their resources and efforts to lobby the truth
— Armenian general public is indifferent to the theme (Jan 19 is the memorable day of the victims of genocidal acts in Baku at Jan 13-19, 1990, and only two persons in Yerevan brought flowers to the main memorial this year).
